News from 2005
September 15th....The
synthetic dream foundation will be performing a live set of uptempo,
yet ethereal EBM-IDM-industrial music at Club Underground in Tampa on Friday the 24th of this month. A huge fetish
party is taking place that evening, being brought to us by the Fetish Factory.
This will be one of the largest goth industrial music events in Tampa
Florida in quite a while, and the entertainment booked looks awfully awesome.
Here is a link to a page about the event, AlterEgo.
I highly reccomend this evening. Come out dressed to impress! A strict
goth/industrial/fetish dresscode will be being enforced to keep the atmosphere
in the club a dark one.
August 25th...I put up another new work in my digital
gallery today. Its a combination of digital photography and digital painting
(with my Wacom tablet) that I made the last two nights. . Its entitled
"Tormented".
August 23rd....I put up a new picture in my digital
gallery entitled "descent". It is the image that will be printed
on the back of the cd case for my new album (which is so near completion
its mind rattling).
August 17th.....I just put up the outline for my photography
page. Alot of work still needs to be done to this page, and hopefully
I will find time to work on it soon.
July 28th....I just put up a new piece of ethereal
classical music in the music section entitled "The cradles".
It was one of the songs used in the film score I did for the upcoming
independent film "Shattered", which will be screening at the
next SunDance festival. It is one of the more ethereal and pretty songs
I have worked on lately, and was taken on as a well needed reprieve from
working on my new album which is very fast, harsh, and aggressive in its
nature of beauty.
July 16th.....I just changed the graphic on the
frontpage of this website for the first time since I started this website!
I think that was far over due. heh. This is a hint of large changes to
come over the next few months to this website. My new cd "Unleashed"
is still being mastered and finalized, but I will be posting both the
front and back cover art for the album in the art gallery in the next
several days. I am doing a major overhaul of the art gallery section during
the next week or so. I have been doing tons of ir photography the past
month or so, and will be posting some of those works as well. I know people
keep pressing me about when my new cd will be done, but I don't want to
force a date. This album will be my best collection of musical works I
have ever produced and don't want to rush things, just in the name "efficiency".
Much more to come. And soon. I promise!
May 23th....Its been awhile since I updated. I
just got done recovering my computer from a major virus infection. That
pretty much dehabilitated my studio for the past two weeks, but I'm back
up and running now. I hate hackers that waste their time. I hate people
in general who possess powerful skills and employ them for mediocre ends.
The entire fiasco made me lose one completed composition, but it could
have been much worse, so I am thankful. My new cd, "unleashed"
is now in the mastering stages, which means it should only be another
month or so till completion. I'm extremely excited about finishing it
and can't wait to share it with the world. I am also currently in converstations
with both Tactical Sekt and Diverje about doing a remix for each of their
projects' upcoming albums. That makes me extremely happy as I'm a huge
fan of both projects. Every time Tactical Sekt gets played at my local
club, I dance my ass off. I highly recommend their catalog to anyone into
harsh ebm/industrial.
March 1st.......I will be performing an ethereal piano recital
w/ sound sculpture at Ruth Eckard Hall on March 22nd, for anyone in the
Tampa area. I will be performing some Chopin, Beethoven, and Scarlotti,
opening for the Minstrel Quartet who are masters of modern andalusian
string music. Tickets are $21 at the door.
End of February......I recently received a 4 star
review in the latest issue of Gothic Beauty magazine for my last album,
"A rain of things which happened in flashes." . "This music
is just too creative to really be labeled or compared to other bands.
Perhaps early Download. I recommend this album to anyone not afraid of
trying something new. Just who will like this music is impossible to predict"
Being compared to Download was definitely a nice analogy to hear, as their
early few albums are still benchmarks in the experimental industrial genre
(IMO). You can read the rest of the review by picking up a copy at any
Barnes and Noble or Hot Topic.
January 16th......I just put another new piece
of digital artwork in my art gallery, entitled "Beauty's trap".
It is a direct inspiration from a recurring dream I have been having for
the past week. Although I'm quite happy with the work overall, it pales
in comparision to the visions in my sleep. Too bad that is a recurrence
in and of itself. I hope that I return there to continue my adventures,
though that always seems to be out of control. I know that I have recurring
dreams on a much more frequent basis than most people seem to, but I still
don't have them enough. On another note, I am currently collaborating
with Dawn Desiree on a piece of piano/vocal/sound sculputre music. Although
this song will not be appearing on the album I'm scheduling to release
in several months, I am very excited about it, as Dawn has an incredibly
inspiring style and voice. I highly recommend checking out her catalog.
January 6th.......I just put up a brand new image
in my fantasy art gallery entitled "undone". Its one of my favorite new pieces.
It uses a very harsh, angular employment of shading and colors, in almost
a cubist display. The other pictures I've made in the past several weeks
are of a very similar style as well, which is odd because alot of the
music I'm writing right now is very circular and spiral in shape with
rhythms and cycles. Work is progressing on my new album, "Unleashed",
but I believe I am going to have to push back the March date I was hoping
to have as a release by about 2 or 3 months.
